Should I get a law degree? #asknostr
Discussion
Is your LSAT score outstanding?
Never taken it? I got my B.S. in C.S. in 2004. Been working as an engineer since.
If it's maritime law, so you can unfuck a bunch of stuff, go for it.
No.
All the lawyers i know are miserable and hate their jobs about 10 years out of getting their degrees. I cant think of a time they seemed happy with their work.
Fair enough! I have no plans to practice. Mostly thinking personal developmentโpersonal security through knowledge of the law.
All I know is itโs difficult to break into โbig lawโ (the large, prestigious firms) unless you graduate from a T14 law school.
Iโd almost certainly get my degree from Harvard or not bother.
But also, I donโt have a plan to be a practicing attorney. This would be for personal development and basically be more of a person with whom not to fuck.
Too good to settle for Yale or Dartmouth, huh? ๐
Proximity, haha, Iโm a masshole โ๏ธ
Over saturated industry and thatโs a top one that AI can easily chip away at. Probably not unless youโre extremely interested.
no go for coding and just be nice and take care of yourself
Iโm already a software engineer. Been doing this for close to two decades. The law degree would be personal development, personal security (through knowledge of the law).
No
I'm glad I did.
