I’m sure within his school of thinking there has to be a better answer to that question, but the fact that someone in his position can’t give an eloquent answer to that question is really telling.

You could say that politicians have always been stupid, but go back and read writings from the founders of the USA. If you want me to be more specific, read everything you can from Thomas Jefferson as a example of a well developed mind. And I’m not talking about some controversial issue. Just read what he has to say on any topic such as carpentry or gardening.
