This reminds me of Luanda. This happened on main roads quite a lot. Very sandy substrate and pipe leaks caused erosion. Had a truck down the road from our office. Road collapsed and instantly submerged the truck. Poor driver didn’t get out

That sucks. Yeah goes down quickly.

Bangkok is very spongey though, and there's water everywhere.

A huge city built in a delta.
