If I try to contact a Whitenoise user from 0xChat, he receives a NIP-17 message. Should 0xChat detect the compatible formats and let me choose?

Whitenoise user hasn't published their keypackage on the 0xchat relay. Check which relay the Whitenoise user is connected to.
I was just checking this thing, but WN has no relay settings, probably for now it only uses an hardcoded relay.

Yeah. Adding back in relay setting screen soon. It’s trying to use outbox as much as possible.
whitenoise uses damus relay: wss://relay.damus.io
