I believe Bitcoin mining facilities must be constructed underground within bunker type facilities with proper security.
While i am fully aware of how decentralized mining operations are, these are pretty exposed still, imo.

In the future maybe but today's world I believe they still struggle with prices. I don't know the current cost prices but last time I checked it was ~17000$ cost per BTC mine. Adding a bunker to initial investment might stretch the Return of Investment period =)
That's a challenge. Agreed. However, that is a single point of failure for that particular facility and i would imagine for 99% of them.
