I hear you, lost my following list myself 1 time. I learn and backup my followers now, there's Nostr tools for that.
It usually happens when one test or try s new client, and nukes your following...
It is what it is, your keys, your followers 😶
It is also a bug that needs to be fixed. I'll do the backup thing. Thank you.
