It absolutely sucks that this was forced on us without any reasonable dialogue, just “Follow our rules because we say so.”

I’m glad we can use nostr:npub1wxl6njlcgygduct7jkgzrvyvd9fylj4pqvll6p32h59wyetm5fxqjchcan and I really hope nostr:npub1xtscya34g58tk0z605fvr788k263gsu6cy9x0mhnm87echrgufzsevkk5s and the nostr:npub18m76awca3y37hkvuneavuw6pjj4525fw90necxmadrvjg0sdy6qsngq955 crew can overcome this obstacle down the road because it’s just too good of an app to abandon. I got an Android recently so I can play around with different clients, but nothing has convinced me to make a complete switch at this point.

I remain hopeful because back in 2014 Apple blocked most #bitcoin wallets from the App Store but later reversed that policy. What needs to happen now are probably some high-level conversations between prominent entrepreneurs in bitcoin and the team at Apple to show them what zaps are and why this core part of the #nostr experience can’t be replaced with a debit card running on fiat rails.
