There should be an option in #damus for adding a private relay, one that is not published to your profile...

I'm planning to add this to alphaama as well, passing a relay when you login along your key will automatically connect to that relay
Yes that's a good idea as well, right now I have a set of bootstrap relays but ideally you could choose a specific bootstrap relay before you login.
