Ok I have some data that those building on Nostr may want to analize if we want to improve engagement

I queried a number of relays to map 3 degrees of separation from my pubkey. Meaning, those that I follow plus those that they follow plus those that they also follow which gave me a list of 32903 pubkeys which I'm assuming are not spammers

Then I queried all the events from all those 32903 pubkeys and did some math:

*** This is for the LAST 15 days only so I know it's tight but we need to ensure people stay engaged and post... I'll try with longer timeframes later

0.03% made 10% of the Notes

0.2% made 50% of the notes

0.6% made 80% of the notes

82% of them did make a comment in the last 2 weeks

meaning that roughly 200 users out of 32903 in my extended network made most of the notes. I checked who were in the top to avoid bots and though there was one game on top, most others were not spammers...

I'll try to make the script better so can be run with any other pubkey and see if it's the same but I believe it'll be important to check engagement.. how to motivate all those pubkeys to comment. why they are not making any comment

Maybe I need to also capture reactions, maybe some of them are liking stuff but not making comments...

*82% didn't make a post I wanted to say

I’m pretty new to Nostr, and my experience here so far has definitely felt like this is true.

it's important to make sure people feel engaged..

Ok I’ll try to repeat this exercise later but with a longer range let’s say a month .. but out of the >30k pubkeys only a small number created at least one event note

We’ll see if we can make this quiet people talk more :)

I wonder how many people are sceptical of some users because of zap talk? πŸ€”

According to this test done by #[1] only:

0,3% made 10% of the Notes

0,2% made 50% of the notes

0,6% made 80% of the notes

Surprising the hudge gap between notes creater and passiv Nostr user!

Would be interesting to know how it's on Twitter?

If it's similar, it be the average engagement in Social Media and totally normal?

Usually it’s supposed to be 90-9-1, meaning:

Bear with me.. I’m redoing it to be more precise. Numbers will improve although it’ll still be low. Keep checking my updates ..
