As an exercise, I asked if they would rather have 5 shells, 5cents, or 5cents in bitcoin for their HI-5 recyclables.

Each student put their paper slip in the row that they would choose.
I had them put a question or comment about Bitcoin on the slips, but next time I might try another exercise and have them write their reasoning for their redemption choice.
