For sure, but there are some considerations to make. You must do this consistently from the beginning, if you want to remain anonymous. If you normally just connect via clearnet, then the jig is already up for that identity.

If you decide to maintain a separate identity for saying things you know could have potentially dire consequences, you will also have a separate social graph for each identity. The social graph of your anonymous identity will not receive any of the social reputation benefits you may have built up on your more public identity.
