That is beautiful. I also love the timbers. We don't have many rocks on our property, but may use similar splitting techniques with wedges to make rustic lumber for benches and other projects. I appreciate the simple aesthetic where the function defines much about the arrangement of materials. The use of raw stone and wood where their identities are very clear tells a story and ties the human built structure to the lot.
