what it means by room temp superconductors?
here's my prospective as an IC engineer(ooof)-
1. lower IC power consumptions. the less resistance the less heat. battery life increases, hardware systems volume decreases including heat cooling gears(yes like Bitcoin mining). but don't expect zero power consumption, analog chips need Ohms law to function.
2. lower cost (maybe) magnetic stimulus. zero resistance produces constant current in a loop so, the big chunk of permanent magnetics in all motor-related stuff might be replaced with smaller and cheaper wire loops.
3. extremely accurate analog and mixed signal systems. no power dissipation along the signal path, signal can be sourced and sensed at a much lower noise, either in white or pink, without thermal induced errors. systems depending on accurate control and measuring, like space industry, medical instruments, auto pilot systems etc will benefit.
anyway, nothing big shall come to plebs life after years or dozens years of pushing from academic research to industrialization.
