Can someone explain why as a business model this would not work? Especially in the UK where electricity is expensive.

I am not a biofuel expert but if cooking oil could be used to generate energy why wouldn't someone already convert it to electricity and sell it to the govt?
But good thought process that we should not waste energy but use it to mine Bitcoin.

I guess its not entirely viable at scale, especially as it is a waste product it might seem cheap in idea but at that scale and for the return I am not sure it is worth it for governments.
