Yes, exercising definitely burns calories, but it also ramps up your appetite, which often leads to overeating following the exercise that cancels out or even surpasses the calories burned from your workout.
For weight loss, the name of the game is getting your SATIETY SIGNALS in order, so you don't have to fight the carb cravings (a battle you will always eventually lose). Using this lens, exercise actually pours even more gasoline onto the cravings that are keeping you stuck on the carbohydrate hamster wheel in the first place.
This is why diet really is 90% of the weight loss equation; it really should be viewed as a bonus on top of carnivore at most.
