It looks a lot like a tantrum over internal dev team politics to me.
I'm still curious about progress on ark though. Mixing built in by default, a smaller on chain footprint, and no more inbound liquidity issues seems like it would have gathered more attention than it did.

I've only read their PR page. Everything else I've seen is basically hack reporters copy pasting that. There was a flurry when announced but now nothing.
Biggest issue I see is it requires a new op code, which means soft fork. There can only be so many op codes. So one of the things I'm curious about is if any of the devs have commented on the proposed op code. Is it a good reusable primitive or will ark be the only use for it?
