there are so many alternatives to the centralized E2EE apps (whatsapp, signal, imessage) it frustrates me they ever get reccomended 😤
we even have better apps built right here on nostr!
Most people using #Signal think they’re “off grid.” In reality, they’re leaving a trail wide enough to drive a subpoena through.

It's not always about how good the app is technology wise. Yes, there may be better options however, that's pointless if there's not a user base. It's the network effect, Signal is the best option (that's not over commercialized big tech which makes your data their product).
