There was already a Nostr chess client. I don’t remember the name though
Can MKStacks vibe code a chess client?
Uses PGN.
Every game is an event.
Every move is a reply. (PGN gets longer with every play).
Viewers can comment and zap moves.
Chess board middle of screen, moves and comments in the right.
nostr:npub18ams6ewn5aj2n3wt2qawzglx9mr4nzksxhvrdc4gzrecw7n5tvjqctp424 you think this is possible?

Discussion
Yes. But it didn’t do what I described.
It just matched players with each other. The chess part was not nostr based events.
What’s the point of that?
For some reason, I think it will drive engagement a lot more if people can comment and zap individual moves.
Something that doesn’t exist in any chess platform.
I think it’s cool.
Especially since these comments and zaps could be happening in 2050 about games played in 2025.
I see some magic in this.
You have to have an oracle to make this actually be better than any existing chess app. Putting up 100 sats on the game is the way to improve it, otherwise you will again have 0 usage. There is no reason to have chess on nostr until you want to tackle that problem.
