does anyone have advice on how to talk about my #mentalhealth to someone who is (and I quote:) "afraid of mental disorders"?

and telling me: "if i'm honest with you, i don't think you're depressed - you're just sad." - before even letting me share my experience?

not talking about it is unfortunately not an option. I have no idea how to structure this conversation or how to even explain what is going on.

I'd really appreciate some #help!

Just an idea: if you are being followed by a doctor regarding your condition, maybe take that person with you to the next appointment and let the doctor do the talking. Maybe if a 3rd party figure of authority, like a doctor, explains your situation, it would be better understood by that someone who is important to you. Take care
