The first TV show that legitimately terrified me?

It was the mid ‘60s and I was 11 years old. Late at night I crept near my parents’ room to secretly watch their TV show and saw a man peeling back the skin on his arm only to find out that it was full of wires and metal and that he wasn’t “real” 😱 For years I’d wonder how I’d even know if there were bionic beings walking around!

The one that gave me the jeebies was the granddad that died, but refused to be go quietly. He started rotting in front of the family and arguing that he didn't want to go.
