We pass this one 🐕‍🦺 and it's human just about every morning in the trails. Sometimes that dog is with the hubby, and other times with the wife.

Aside from a brief head nod or "good morning", we rarely ever stop to speak. It's been this way for about 6 months now.

Today they stopped, so I stopped. And I was handed an invitation to their family 🎄🍂🍁🎄 party.

When I was younger I attended many such parties. In all cases they were business obligations. I don't drink at parties and it's almost always business. So different experience with just those to factors.

So I'd make an appearance long enough to be seen, then would usually fake a call and quietly disappear. Yeah, I'd leave my coat in the car as to not signal I was leaving when it was time for me to "take my call".

But I was in my mid 40's when I stopped attending these personally and sent someone from my team instead.

But I think I will attend this one. I enjoy passing this dog and their human in the trails pre-sunrise every morning. In some weird way they make me feel normal.
