Something we take for granted is that the solar eclipse path, time, and coverage was calculated with great accuracy years ago, despite this involving multiple separate large masses rotating, orbiting and moving through space at different speeds.
Kudos to the math nerds and scientists capable of working that out and to the programmers and graphic illustrators for preparing tools to help us identify when and to what degree it would be observed at various locations.
I also observed no ants or other insects, or birds or fish or mammals looking for this celestial event. Humans can be quite an intelligent species when they put their mind to it.
Unless it was aliens that set it up. Or a simulation.
