Gm Slev hopefully this is a move run and not a dump run

Haha. There's over 15g's in tools stuffed in that mess.

Definately a relocate.

Its amazing what you collect over 20 years of home ownership.

Thats great news! We have been the landing spot for 3 house sales we have so much stuff that need to be on marketplace. When my parents were here they asked why we had 4 walkers in the garage.

We live by the saying say Yes & think about it later

This is my second move. I've kind of mastered the shedding of shit.

I try to live by the saying - "you don't own your stuff. Your stuff owns you'

But then I have an entire sea can of unused milled lumber and yard tools 👀

Its hard to see in the back. But the first 14 feet of the can is only a foot lower than the ceiling stacked!

My wife asked what I spent on tools a couple of times early on. So I started tracking the ROI on my tools.

Every job, contractor price - DIY price = savings. Savings divided evenly across all tools used in the job.

I stopped when my $200 drill hit $30k ROI. I don't remember how long but it was under a year.

As long as the bills are paid and things keep getting built and fixed I have an unlimited tool budget now. It has been 10 years since that experiment and 1 time since then I was asked "why didn't you make work pay for that tool?" "Because I don't want to give it back if I change jobs" was good enough.

💯

I got my truck stuck in my yard one time several years back. Rather than call a tow. I bought a farm jack.

Hooked up to a large tree and yanked it out.

120$ farm jack or a 350$ tow call. I now own the jack to boot 👌

Exactly, and the skills building. Amazing how many tools pay for themselves in one job.

I feel retarded in comparison on the computer. Super basic knowledge in comparison to someone making a living coding or building on hardwear etc...

But I know how to basically build a home. I'm happy with my skill set 👊

The community is overrun with devs and other tech workers. If we want to keep things moving during a real crisis we need more like minded tradies.

Shit I thought undocumented tool and weapon purchases is what our side door was for. Lol

😂😂
