The way you interact with, and treat those who are absolutely of no use to you, reveals the kind of nature and nurture you've had

The more loving kindness you've received growing up, the kinder and more tolerant you get to treat those you might have considered as lesser mortals than you

Needless to say,

You might have to hold off your innate sarcasm, as the person you're directing your pun, sarcasm or anger to, may be having the worst day of their life

It's not enough to say,

"be kind"

or

"Kindness matters"

Adult or not,

Try your level best to not be insulted with words like, "be kind"

Yes, when people tell you you're wrong because you've not been kind and you think you're right for having displayed your sarcasm, anger and madness ever-so-gloriously,

Trust your heart

It will tell you the truth

Without insulting you, by telling you you're wrong

Adult or not, each person with a fully-functioning heart and mind is capable of knowing if they've wronged anyone

If anyone tells you you're an a-hole

And you think you're wrong,

Trust what your heart tells you

Always trust your heart

And learn to live with whatever truth it gives you, whether you like the truth or not

Truth cannot be twisted

This reminds me of

Antoine de Saint-Exupéry who said,

"It is only with the heart that one can see rightly

What is essential is invisible to the eye"
