The film itself is flawed but is so beautifully ambitious that it's always earned a place in my Top Five.

When I used to coach high school girls' gymnastics it was pretty common for girls to do their Floor Ex routines to the Requiem For a Dream main theme. I get why they like it for that, but man... I found it so jarring knowing its original context.
😂yeah, heavy subject matter... Amazing how rewatchable his stuff is despite the writing being so damn sad!
