It's not really a confession, just a very short artistic biography, I translated it as best I could from my website, which many will surely not have read).

Hello, I am Carlo.

I am an Italian painter, I was born in Genoa (1970) and I studied art at the Liceo Artistico Nicolò Barabino.

I never thought I would become a painter, in fact I worked and still work as a graphic designer for the press, first for publishing and currently for papermaking.

I abandoned art the way one lets things one cares about die, that is, without reason.

But the artistic passion, that never left me. In fact I resumed painting after almost thirty years, out of love.

In April 2022, I decided to give my wife an oil portrait as a present and I thought, ' ...if this painting comes out well and gives me satisfaction, I will start drawing and painting again, otherwise I will give up and abandon the idea forever'.

Returning to painting after so long was not easy.

The portrait came out discreetly, but the satisfaction of doing it was enormous.

So I started to display my paintings, first on Twitter, then on Instagram, and finally to set up a website to represent me to the world.

Most of my paintings often depict places I have visited that particularly moved me, in a style inspired by impressionist masters, past and contemporary.
