Because centralized exchanges need to follow the rules in their jurisdiction…

Monero will always be a fringe currency used for illicit activities. I love that you have that option and will defend your right to use it but I personally do not need to and have no interest in owning it.

Meanwhile bitcoin will continue to become the new reserve asset/currency of the world and it will protect my family from central bank currency debasement

Why is there a law that allows Bitcoin (which is claimed to fight the state) but not Monero? What singles out Monero to make laws addressing it directly?

You may have signed up for different reasons than early Bitcoiners.
