I want to use the domain for lightning address.
Discussion
It would be interesting to have a permanent lightning address, regardless of the survival of the wallet that generated it.
Hmm, yeah I’ve never dug into this but it seems possible. This is the current address on my account
https://primal.net/.well-known/lnurlp/cornflowereagle1
Wondering if I can host my own and point it to the lnurlp callback url. Does a provider accept redirects from arbitrary outside domains?
Something like an alias
I tried copying the lnurlp payload into my own .well-known path and sending a payment to it. It didn’t work using Strike, the error was invalid lightning address.
My guess is that it won’t work cross-domain but I’ll ask around and see if we can’t get some clarity
Maybe this content can help you. The interesting part is from the middle to the end of the text.
That is basically what I did except for I just made the content static instead of using a cloudflare worker.
I just tested using Wallet of Satoshi and it worked!
Using nostr:npub1ex7mdykw786qxvmtuls208uyxmn0hse95rfwsarvfde5yg6wy7jq6qvyt9 however it claims the address is invalid. I can see in the logs that it makes the request and gets a 200.
"GET /.well-known/lnurlp/rossbates HTTP/1.1" 200 309 "-" "zap/1.0"
In addition to Strike not working, CashApp and Muun don’t appear to support using lnurl.
