Even that would have no impact.

You'd need ~95% of nodes to switch to Knots in order to have a meaningful impact on what transactions get relayed. This is due to how the p2p network mesh is interconnected.

This is why the filter crowd had always been fated to fail.

True… one major relayer switching over (which won’t likely happen) would only be a stronger signal with no net effect until some high threshold was reached like you say.

IMO this is exactly the reason why nobody in the no-filter crowd is concerned about these node counts. It’s telling who has an understanding of the network and who doesn’t.
