also, i find it amusing, having spent so much time in the balkans when i hear from someone that "in balkan the mafia is the government" and honestly, comparing the level of corruption and sophistication of their corruption it's like that saying, i'd rather an honest robber who just says he's robbing me than someone who says they are helping me but reaching around and emptying my pockets

a notable phenomenon was the one where if you start a business in these eastern european countries, and it becomes successful and makes lots of money, you get told that you are selling it or they are pushing you out of the market with dirty tricks

so, yeah, being a successful business person in balkans is not possible unless you pay the monopoly tax to the oligarchs

but it's actually no different in the West, it just has this shiny glaze of legitimacy and expensive propaganda to convince people that the democracy is working and there is a just society, when it's actually more deeply corrupt

i just can't forget this because at least every week or two i am suffering symptoms of being poisoned by the food i buy at the shop and the level of corruption that is required to push poison on people and randomly murder people via this cowardly, but very effective method, all depends on this corruption

it was why i eventually didn't want to live in bulgaria any more... in 2013 it was great, the banks were great, the internet was the best and cheapest, and by 2022 after having had an account with unicredit, with an employment contract in hand and residence permit they wouldn't reopen my account

this is all the result of the EU turning bulgaria's mafia government into an advanced, high tech, propaganda extortion operation

prices have gone up on everything, the service quality of everything has gone down, the only thing that redeemed the place by 2021 was that they weren't enforcing vax and lockdowns because of the passive resistance of the people, who have lived under obvious tyranny all their lives, for generations, going back over 500 years, they cannot be manipulated this way, and that's great but they keep wearing them down and it's very disappointing

in any case, i sure as fuck want to get out of portugal because of this poison food being sold and everyone is just sullen and thinks they can't do anything about it... well, they sorta do, but it's really weak, if they suffered as much as i do from it they'd be kicking the EU off this island, and there is a major contingent of people on madeira who want the EU and portugal out of here

Yeah, things here are bad but the West is getting worse much faster, we have a lot of people coming back after many years or working and studying abroad. Currently we are preparing for the 8th election in 4 years, unprecedented political crisis. The government increased the salaries in the police department by 50% and that of the military by 30%. There is now a 10 billion euro gap in the budget (~10% of the GDP). Huge populistic moves are done because for better or worse they want to avoid the eurozone's acceptance by pumping the inflation numbers. The public sector is huge and continues to grow, there is a massive real estate bubble waiting to pop because young people are no longer afraid to take mortgages like their parents once were. Most of the young people take 30 year mortgages at 2% interest rate and they think they are smarter than the bankers because they will repay the loans with a few peanuts because of the inflation. The central bank had to interfere because people were even taking personal loans for the down payment. Speculation is through the roof because the real estate agents promise 15% price increase if we get in the eurozone, around 50% of the units are empty and are just held because 95% of the people either "invest" their money in real estate or put it in the bank at 0% interest. Economically we are headed towards a cliff but we are used to that kind of suffering as long as there is peace. Hopefully the upcoming crisis will be short and painful rather than long and painful and we will be in a much better state because as you mentioned, culturally we are immune to globalist bullshit.

yeah, it's not gonna go well... i'm almost an old man now and have never had the prospect of owning a house or even a car for any of my life so far

this is how much the banksters and their coterie rob people with their fraudulent money

and the normies are not gonna get it until it suddenly appears out of the fog of their confusion and slams them in the face, doesn't matter how much we try to tell them they are being robbed, they refuse to accept it because of normalcy bias

and for me, this is all quite hilarious because within 20 years the big monster of bankster usury is gonna pale in comparison to the natural disasters we got coming, the normies are just gonna be frozen like rabbits in front of a hungry wolf, maybe even just their heart will pop right there and then
