Seriously - where can you go to escape this globalization crap and live a more libertarian, free-market lifestyle with a sound money standard.

...that they wouldn't still be able to track you down and extract their pound of flesh - while perhaps confiscating everything and putting you in prison or executing you?

I can dream about a few different states in Mexico, or Costa Rica...question the stability of El Salvador, Nicaragua, Honduras, Guatemala. One regime change and you go from having a peaceful life to losing everything.

Could move to Texas (I'm native) or Tennessee...or Wyoming or maybe Montana but the weather there is HARSH. I would hope all of those states would go down swinging, at least.

And at the end of the day, we have adult daughters...and GRANDSONS. They aren't going to move with us, and I don't want to strand them...even though one of the daughters w/grandsons is 2 timezones away.

My long term plan is staying in Colorado in current house and keeping cabin for more seclusion. Then perhaps buy a house in Texas and a house in Central or South America.

Where would you go if you had to become an expat that strongly values freedom? #asknostr

We’re currently in tx but considering getting a Mexican passport and permanent residency as a Plan B. I would also consider other Central American countries as I’ve lived in various places down there. Mexico has one of the best passports in all of Latin America (top 20 in the world- for most countries where no visa is required upon entry)

No telling how many countries the US will piss off in the coming years, so having multiple passports/citizenships will be important if you value mobility and preparedness

Whatever you choose - try before you buy and spend some time on the ground. Options you listed + consider Southeast Europe - ppl have living memory of totalitarian past and are more distrustful of wef-bs, warmer weather, more affordable.

Sentiments mutual. Been asking folks for over a year about how to solve for this and getting mostly naive responses re. black market existence and winning via memes. Or folks who don’t share same priorities or responsibilities with respect to family/community/church…so they’ll just skip town to ElSalvador. I believe Wyoming will be the last hold out. Already making moves to park assets, entities, trusts in that jurisdiction. Doing recon on second passports as well. Madeira is interesting because I love windsports but not very defendable (better have an offshore boat ready to roll). Have some context in Chile but not the most friendly jurisdiction. Staying put and hacking the system by using the legal and financial instruments typically only afforded to the ultra wealthy seems to be the only the way. I wish there was more energy and focus on making such solutions available to all bitcoiners because the majority who hold less than 1BTC are most likely gonna capitulate when the SHTF.
