to be honest…

Most Americans have world views crafted by hollywood, and think civil war means fighting in the streets, and everything shut down.

A kinetic civil war occuring while stocks are still trading, people keep going to work, and the majority of the country never seeing actual fighting, is outside of many peoples videogame influenced thinking. But it is the more likely scenario. It would also not be surprising to see the military refuse to be involved,

at least for a time. And from what im seeing, i would not be in the least bit suprised to wake up tomorrow and learn this has started.

Yeah the Hollywood view where everything must be explicitly stated is something I have thought of as well.

"We are now at war" versus noticing things.

I remember realizing something to this affect when I realized that even in war torn countries, people are still going to work and trying to live normal lives. It’s such an odd paradigm because we tend to think in black and white, but things are never that simple.
