#[0] once bitcoin hits 1 million let’s get together and make an updated Yaesu FT-817… this thing has had to have the longest lifespan of any consumer electronic device🙄

All I want is waterproof, SDR RX front end and updated memory in pixel display, is that too much to ask, Yaesu.com

Yes. Or just take the Kx3 guts and remake with proper case and mechanical, UI/UX, proper battery pack, proper connectors, attachable amp.

The FT817 was just discontinued. I have a feeling they will launch a 705 competitor in a year or two.

All I want is Yaesu Radio with icom ux. Maybe we buy both companies and merge them.

Yup, ditto on the icom UX (and build quality. Yeah KX3 front end is great from what I see, but I loath the UX and homebrew build housing. Yes proper case and modular amp, would stand up to the 705. A rugged black box.

I had an IC-7000, wish it was shrunk down waterproof, and connectors/batteries that are not from 1970…
