GM. It's simple. This is a Nostr application. You have to login to Nostr to participate. If you want to listen or read chat, it's just like any other Nostr client, you can do without a profile. You'll need a profile to speak or type in chat, just like I need a profile to reply here.

Awesome - ok, so if he was logged in I’d be able to see what I was typing in the chat as well? Sounds like I just need to try again with a pal who’s logged in. Thanks for taking the time to respond! 💜
You should be able to also see your own chat because you'd be logged in and able to type. If not maybe it was a relay issue or maybe you need to reload/clear cache because I deployed a new version yesterday.
I’ll clear my cache and try again. I actually love that you have to be logged in. What a feature!
