I think there is a pleb lighting group… not plebchain…. should we encourage people to run there own node? Or what should we do…

This might be a hot take, but for most people I don’t think they need to run a lightning node. Use something like breeze or phoenix or bitkit

There is an active #nodestrich group for people on Nostr running lightning nodes. I think running a node is a great way to learn more about lightning but it’s probably not something everyone wants to do.

I would find immense value in this, as I’m always doing battle with rebalancing and looping and general opening and closing of channels. I love it, but also the struggle is real. So count me in!
Ok, I need to get mine set up… is doing over tor a good idea?
There are tradeoffs. I don’t know all of them, for instance tor is slower than clearnet, but it’s another one of those rabbit holes, and another reason why a chain dedicated to this would be great.
