i am always rethinking my participation in social media & why i use it

it’s nice to know there are many out there who believe in living free, but a lot of what i’m seeing are people reaffirming each other’s views

like _i’m doing this & that too, so we’re going to be ok, right? right?_ together we thrive & together we will fall so you don’t feel alone in your struggles

the _bitcoin is good, fiat is bad_ sentiment is everywhere & it is tiring to see it repeated over & over

the government & the world is working against you complaints repeated over & over, it’s tiring

it is tiring

It's just a communal affirmation. We join groups to hone ourselves, and that shared narrative is a part of that. It's exhausting to me too, but it's just par for the course, when you associate with groups and archetypes and people with shared values, often their narrative affirmation becomes boring. You agree maybe, but you don't need to hear about it all the time. It feels cultish, but it's really not, it's people reminding themselves of their stated goals.

it's not just cultish, it is a cult

a single, narrow, hive minded thinking justified by an idea of the greater good
