For Android you can get it:

- as an apk

- the source

And you say there's hostility to how you install it?

Care to explain where it was based that opinion?

Aurora is not a different store. It's a different front end to Play Store which is how I was able to install the app. But the app itself refuses to even start because it was not installed through Play Store exactly and I assumed that it was devs choice and this is something I saw with one bank and a couple of freemium in-app-purchases games. And I find that hostile as well as surprising when coming from people allegedly cherishing privacy
