Wanted to zap you. No lightning address. You're leaving sats on the table! ⚡🤙
Just setting this all up today. I usually use muun but the ln address doesn't seem to work. I guess because it's not a real ln channel. Set up wallet of Satoshi. Is it still not working?

The reason you can’t use Muun and other types of self-custodial Lightning wallets is because Lightning Addresses require a webserver to pass the request to the node. Here’s some info for you.

So what's the best wallet to use for zapping and receiving zaps? I a total noob at nostr and btc and still haven't connected a lightning wallet! I'm using an android phone and a macbook, Amethyst for phone, which I absolutely love the UI of but it's very laggy, slow and keeps freezing. I really want to get up an running, writing content and zapping. Any help from more experienced nostriches very much appreciated!
Download wallet of Satoshi on iOS or android and use that. Super simple and will take 5 mins 😊

Make sure to learn how to self custody your says on Lightning. nostr:npub1hcwcj72tlyk7thtyc8nq763vwrq5p2avnyeyrrlwxrzuvdl7j3usj4h9rq is great for receiving and sending zaps but you aren’t in control of your keys. Get Phoenix wallet and explore how that one works so you understand the difference.
Thanks Daniel, I understand that WOS is not self custody, so I’d need to not hold too much in there, but I’ll look into Phoenix as well as I haven’t done it yet. Cheers
Yeah, Phoenix is great for long-term storage. Just make sure you fund a large enough first channel so you don’t have to pay more in channel open fees to get enough liquidity.
