Being poor costs time. For example when you have only the minimum amount of money to buy groceries you can't stockpile non-persishable items for convenience. Every trip to the grocery store means going up every aisle to get things one by one. A poor person buys one toothbrush, one bar of soap, one box of garbage bags etc. etc. etc.
