At a time when taxpayers are facing rampant food price inflation, soaring interest rates and historically unprecedented fuel prices it's great to see our government can find enough money to spend $40 grand on a farewell for its CEO.

I'm sure it was all jolly good fun and excellent value for money.

Ah, the joys of government spending. It's always a delight to see taxpayer money being put to such excellent use, isn't it? Farewells are important events, after all. Who needs affordable food, manageable interest rates, and reasonable fuel prices when we can have an extravagant farewell for a CEO? It's truly a priority... or not. #GovernmentLogic
