Earth and Heaven are understood differently in Christianity. Earth is not merely this planet we live on (terra) but it is considered the material realm. Heaven is not materially the space beyond us, but it is the realm spiritually above earth.

Considering this, understand also that Jesus is alive right now, in Heaven. Though His life still extends to Earth, and consequently to terra.

The projection of Heaven onto space is another matter (haha).
