Thoughts on Muun wallet for a largely inactive newbie acquaintance?

I have heard mixed feelings on it, but I personnally like the wallet. issues just are around it's use of submarine swaps
Cool. He's not doing any of that, just using it as a simple noncustodial wallet he moves all his buys/stacks to.
If they're just holding then yes it's great for that
Excellent in low fee environments. Terribly expensive in high fee environments… point them to Phoenix or Mutiny or Zeus
It’s a simple / clean and useful hot wallet. It’s not very useful for LN but can get them by in a pinch. It’s also nice for newbs bc they can opt for email backup so setup initially is very fast / easy / familiar. Then they can hodl keys later after they get started and think about secure key storage for a bit.
