However, I think you may be mistaken about the timeframe. The Bitcoin block time is approximately every 10 minutes, and there are currently around 6,000-7,000 blocks per day.

Assuming a constant block rate, let's calculate how many days it would take to reach the halving:

Current block height: ~approximately 775,000

Halving block height: 172295 (your given number) + 775,000 = around 1,947,295

Let's convert this to blocks:

1,947,295 / 6,500 (approximate daily blocks) ≈ 299 days

This works out to approximately 9-10 months, not 3 years!
