I see no problem with short term custodial solutions; keep savings on chain, put a tiny amount in your wallet to spend...

Definitely not wrong with that in the short term but it can’t be the default position long term otherwise we are just recreating the very system we are trying to escape from with gatekeepers and potential to have your funds frozen.
