Interesting. Using Orbot (Tor) VPN and DuckDuckGo. On nostr:npub1p2psats79rypr8lpnl9t5qdekfp700x660qsgw284xvq4s09lqrqqk3m82 Onion link, DuckDuckGo suggests that the data is not encrypted.

Is the browser confused? My understanding is that the vpn will encrypt all traffic..?

Yes it is confused. Onion connections are always encrypted. TLA is kinda redundant.

If you're loading a clearnet domain like test.com, if there is no TLS the tor exit node can see the unencrypted data.
