Normally I use nginx but I switched over to caddy on one of my home web servers and god damn is it easy to use. Talk about easy mode for reverse proxies. 😅

Is reverse proxy needed if you are remote tunneling home with Tailscale?

Yes, because other people are accessing some things at public URLs.

Not sure I understand

We have services like jellyfin that friends and famliy access. Its easier to give people a domain than trying to force a Roku to do a tailscale tunnel.

Oooooooh, makes sense

I only having Vaultwarden up so far and I wouldn't use a reverse proxy for that. Jellyfin makes sense though. Thanks for explaining

Oh, yeah, my vaultwarden is definitely not exposed publicly. All my devices can sync up at home or not at all. 😅
