I force closed the app and then came back. It was gone and then appeared again. Force closed again and now it seems to be gone? 😅 I’m guessing it depends on the relays and if any relay I’m connected to still has it then wouldn’t I still see it, even if some delete it?
Point is I'm suppose to be able to ✌️
I think it still depends on whether a relay supports that nip as to whether the delete request is honored on that relay. I’m not 100% certain on that but I think that’s how it works.

Not sure what you mean by "the main post". I posted two notes (not replies) around ~14 hours ago or so, a few minutes apart, both had similar text to the above. I made sure they were available (waited for comments), and then deleted.
If you can't find them, then the theory that "nothing can be deleted from nostr" has been debunked :)

if all relays were to temporarily forget you would it wipe all of your previous notes, almost like a pseudo-delete all?🤔

Am I correct in understanding that all of my posts will be permanently deleted if all the relays I was connected to when writing the posts are disabled?
Not necessarily. Users can broadcast notes that you post to the relays they’re connected to. So for instance if I were to broadcast your note here, not only would it exist on your connected relays, but now also on mine. NIP09 addresses event deletion, but it is dependent on relays honor the deletion requests as to whether all copies of your notes actually get deleted.

Yeah the very nature of Nostr makes it virtually impossible for even technical users to delete notes. Built in accountability in an open source, decentralized environment. I like that.
