Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs was published about 80 years ago, and still remains a timeless reminder of human needs and potentials. It outlines a progression from basic needs at the pyramid's base to higher goals. I don't think it's always rigid and sequential but the idea makes sense - in impoverished communities, survival matters more. In oppressed environments safety takes precedence. Most prefer comfort and remain within the basic and psychological needs, some will move up, few will target multi-layer crossovers from ground zero - hence a narrowing top. Different cultures, different communities might be seeking different things. Bitcoin and Nostr targets a broad community, but the users will have diff purposes, interests and needs. With various innovations and multiple clients, it will surely be helpful in covering a wider range of people.
