It is not ours to create a safe space for others, in fact quite an injustice to so. For both them and you.

The pursuit to extinguish suffering has caused more than any other endeavor

The only thing that you can do with out consequences of more harm than good is:

1). Avoid creating misery. There’s plenty already in existence to go around without making more, for you or others.

2). Share the discomfort of others. While no one can carry another’s burden; being present for them invigorates strength so they can.

I got children and an old parent. My only duty is to create a safe space for them. Nothing else matters.

Humans need unsafe spaces to thrive. At least the perception of unsafe. Consent boring safety for youth leads to stunted potential and the inability to deal with an unsafe world, mentally as well as physically. In older adults the challenges of something that has the perception of unsafe could invigorate them but far too often the growth of challenge is beyond them but when it is not it is inspiring.
