The "maximalist" question is interesting. I am a maximalist in terms of working for the best interest of my family. I'm not working on behalf of bitcoin. That would make me a slave to it.

As I take care of my family, I seek the most moral route to do that I can find. Bitcoin is that route for me, and I don't think it's relative. In other words, bitcoin is objectively moral. As such, no one can convince me to pursue another way. That's the power of the idea for the everyday guy and why I don't worry about the "maximalist" fights.

To me "maximalism" sound more like "absolutism".

About the interest of ones family, It depends. What if your family is part of a criminal clan, like the Bush and Clinton's?

Yes it depends. I mean, of course, the moral interests.

I guess the main point is that EVERYTHING can (and will?) be weaponized against us, even if it was made with good intentions. Recognizing bitcoin is not perfect and can be hijacked (if not already) is what divide us between maxis and non-maxis "shicoiners".

Maximalism blind us to see it coming
